Ottar JarlNor-Cargo can trace it's roots in the UK to January 1948 when Norwegian Shipowner NFDS commenced a weekly sailing between Trondheim and Grimsby. The first vessel call was made by the 'Ottar Jarl' which discharged a cargo of wet and frozen fish. This was to become the start of a weekly scheduled service which subsequently handled - in addition to fish - dry cargoes both to and from Norway. From such beginnings Nor-Cargo has developed into a world class Freight Forwarder and Liner Agent.

The Nor-Cargo name was established in 1979 following the merger of NFDS with it's competitor Bergen Line to form Norcargo a/s with Nor-Cargo Ltd established as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Norwegian organisation.

Since 1979 we have developed to become a leading international freight forwarder offering our customers wordwide freight connections handled by well trained staff and backed by up to the minute IT systems.
